Stepping into Anuradhapura felt like walking into a living museum of ancient legends. According to local lore, King Paduwasdeva, who ruled between 504 and 474 BC, brought Princess Subaddhakacanna from North India. Her arrival, followed by her siblings establishing villages across the land, laid this historic region's cultural and geographical foundation.
