Historical Significance of the Building
Housed in a double-storey colonial building with a rich history:
- Anglo-Chinese School Legacy (1906): Originally designed by Tomlinson and Lermit Architects, the building was part of the Anglo-Chinese School.
- Methodist Book Room Era: It was later home to the Methodist Book Room in the 1970s and 1980s.
- Singapore Philatelic Museum (1995): The building transitioned into the Singapore Philatelic Museum before becoming the Children’s Museum Singapore.
