Kushihiki-Hachiman-gu Shrine, located in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, holds immense historical and cultural significance as the “Nanbu Ichi-no-miya,” or the highest-ranked shrine in the former Nanbu domain. Established as a guardian shrine for the Nanbu clan, it has deep spiritual roots and architectural grandeur that reflect its prominence during the Edo period. The current main hall was constructed in 1648 by Nanbu Shigenao, the second lord of the Morioka domain, showcasing the refined craftsmanship of early modern Japan.
